Governor Pramono Anung aims for an August groundbreaking of the new international hospital at Sumber Waras.
The funding is already in place
It is set to become Jakarta’s first city-owned hospital of international standing, marking a historic milestone for local public health.
"The funding is already in place," he confirmed during a visit to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Wednesday (7/1).
Jakarta to Built Type-A Hospital on Sumber Waras LandWhile Jakarta already boasts 31 city-run hospitals, none are currently operated to international benchmarks. This upcoming project, occupying a prime three-hectare location at Sumber Waras, aims to bridge that gap and set a new standard for public healthcare.
"I have emphasized that this facility must be international in both scale and management. We are establishing collaborations with top-tier international hospitals," he explained.
Pramono envisions this international hub as a game-changer for local healthcare, eliminating the need for Indonesians to go abroad for treatment.
"My aim is to build a hospital that every Jakarta resident is proud to call their own," he added.
